I am a native of Germany. I received my medical degree from the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Germany in 1983. I have a PhD in medical psychology. My thesis was in Doctor-Patient-Communication. I received a grant from the German government in 1984 to do further research in the USA.

I liked it so much here that I decided to become licensed in the USA and stay for a while. I did my residency training at UTMB Galveston Texas and UNMH Albuquerque NM. I became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1990 and recertified in 2001.

I am a member of the NM Medical Society, the American College of Physicians and of the Community Affiliate Staff at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe.

I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, biking and horseback riding. My idea of fun is to climb a 14000 foot peak in Colorado. I am also the one, who is riding her bicycle to the office as long as the daylight permits. I had additional training in Germany and Sri Lanka in Homeopathy and Acupuncture and other complimentary therapies. Hence my understanding of alternative medicine and my open mindedness to integrating different modalities and approaches to health and well-being.
